Reflective Statement
The past three years here at UNC have been filled with rewarding, yet sometimes challenging experiences. Throughout my time at Carolina I have gained a wealth of knowledge and made life-long relationships with classmates, professors and clinicians that I know will guide me as I embark on my career. This program has motivated me to be an advocate for myself, my patients, and the profession as a whole and has given me the confidence to do so. The opportunities afford to me throughout PT school have given me a solid foundation on which to continue to build my professional and personal life.
As graduation approaches it is clear how much I have learned over the past few years; however, it remains clear that there is still much for me to learn as I begin practicing. I intend to continue learning throughout my career by attending conferences, staying active in the APTA and NCPTA, and pursuing a neurologic specialist certification. Overall I believe that the lessons I have learned while in school and the experiences I have had have prepared me for whatever challenges I might face in the future. I am excited to begin my career as a physical therapist and am so thankful for this experience.

You and Sarah did such a wonderful job over this past year in the research lab. I know that you will continue to excel as you move away from UNC and I can’t wait to hear all the great things you will be involved in.
